You won't believe your Mulberry luck...

Yes check it out! Have you figured it out yet? Its not Mulberry (unfortunately) but its the next best thing from Topshop. This replica satin quilted cross body bag is definitely inspired by bag that is craved by so many.

On one of my many visits to the high street store the cream/gold and purple print captured my attention and literally before my eyes met the bag for a more inspecting gaze the first word that crazed my mind was 'Mulberry'.

So as a trend spotting sneak I captured a shot of the latest item thats taking on the designer world with giant queues of loyal fashion followers wanting to grab the look a like bag. Plus shaking Mulberry purses to the core as this little gem is only £25.00! An actual total bargain!

Great for a night out, a shopping trip or just to carry round and fool people your carrying Mulberry there's no reason why you aren't racing to Topshop with credit cards in hand right now and snagging this rare piece for yourself. Go, go, go!

City Chic

It's been a while since my last update but prior to blogging I've been so busy with College and preparations for my further study next year.

Anyways I have decided to start to capture what inspires me in pictures starting with this piece. Every single day I visit somewhere and what an individual is wearing, carrying or walking in catches my eye but I always just let it pass me by. However on a recent shopping trip to Urban Outfitters in Newcastle, a city filled with quirky, innovative british style that I happen to love, I spotted my first city chic trendsetter.

Fitting right in with the various styles of fashion Urban Outfitters has to offer to all those individuals daring to be different my first trend innovator was working busily at the fitting rooms. Being a fashion student at Newcastle college and always appreciating good sense of style I'm always on the look out for new looks that I've never seen before. Inspiration for any future projects that may come my way...and what better way to capture it by taking a picture!

Studying her first year of Menswear fashion at Northumbria University, the essence of her course definitely reflected in her personal style. I got the sense of 80's grunge with the Dr.Martens and the beanie which I thought was such a cool accessory to team with stylish look.

What captured my attention was the all black ensemble. Its probably one, if not my favourite colour for the reason being it goes with everything and I'm sure many of you agree with me out there that black is a classic block shade. The long black cardigan along with the shorts and shirt all complimented one another and gave the look different layers which all worked really well. It is one fashion statement I have not seen in the Northeast before and there is a lot of those out there.

However sometimes many young women who keep up to date with trends sometimes all seem to blend in with one another and you can tell where each of them shop. This trendsetter could have purchased her clothing from various stores, they could be vintage...who knows? Thats why I personally feel her entire look works so well together.

This is just the first of many from Newcastle's most stylish that I'm going to capture so keep checking back to see who's my next city chic trendsetter!

Sporting a dress this summer

Its hit the designer catwalks for Spring/Summer and has become one major trend. 'The Sport Dress'. Sport wear isn't just for the gym...oh no! its totally been modified into a big statement piece for the upcoming season and the January issue of Company magazine shows some super cool ways to style the new fashion garment and gives you plenty of places to go shop, covering all prices ranges.

Here's magazine scans for you, just incase you haven't got the latest issue!

I think its a fabulous fashion statement to follow and I sure will be trying to score myself a sporty bargain from the high street!

Tips:
  • Neutral colours will work really well. (Cream, Grey, Black, White)
  • Try Navy too. Kind of obsessed with that shade right now!
  • Having a blank canvas (a garment with no print) will allow you to build up your outfit with cool accessories.
  • Pair with some chunky wedge boots and colourful socks (like Company magazine). Even patterned or block colour tights would add a interesting edge to your look.
Hope my tips help. Good Luck!

Time to get dressed...

I've narrowed these fabulous finds down to upcoming trends for 2012 so you'll be nothing short of having a fashionable frock in your closet. Stripes, the 60's and abstract patterns, to shades of pastels and neutral tones and prints that suggest a hint of Christopher Kane, there are plenty of options for everyone to be in trend this approaching summer.

This sand bar print dress by Catherine Malandrino is a perfect maxi for the holiday months. Whether your off to an exotic location or browsing for something simple, chic and cool for the humid summer evenings then this dress is definitely for you. The bonus is that the price of this great buy is only £74.00!

Unfortunately timelines are not invented so travelling back to eras such as the sixties is simply not possible. However with this Giles t-shirt dress you can express your inner Twiggy chic! A little pricer than my last finds but at £159.00 for designer is incredible. (Especially when the RRP was £795.00!!!) Mixed with a blend on neon yellow contrasted with pastel pink its a perfect summer buy for effortless, daytime chic!

Diane Von Furstenberg is a favourite designer of mine and always has fabulous prints so coming across a pattern whilst browsing that reminded me of her creations was definitely hitting my list of best buys. Being in the sale for £50.00 was a bonus added! An incredible abstract print with a sporty silhouette is a statement piece that belongs in your wardrobe this Spring/Summer. (More of the sport trend to be posted soon!)

This Bolongaro Trevor drape dress has a clean palette of blues and greens combined and could be worn as a daytime look or in the evening. It reminded me of the 'Galaxy' collection Christopher Kane designed so once again adding another resemblance of a designer creation to my list was this piece. At such a good price of £38.00     it is a total steal!

Back to sports chic now and this next item on my best buys list is a Nicole Miller habotai dress. A neutral navy colour, it leaves room for as much creativity as you would like with accessories and shoes. Resembling a 'sport' silhouette once again it is another statement piece not just for Spring/Summer but a seasonal staple that can be worn over and over again. £68.00 for this dress is a bargain so get yourselves over to http://www.cocosa.com!

Even though I adore all these best buys this next and final selection has to be my favourite. A Jonathan Saunders 'Vienne' dress for just £44.00 from RRP of £216 is the best buy that I have found! An abstract print with a clean colour story of aqua/grey and white it is once again a blank canvas to add bold accessories for a daytime or evening look. It is a total investment and perfect for this upcoming season so hurry hurry because the sale ends soon!!!

Remember www.cocosa.com sale! Ending the 9th of January!

Make sure you snap up at least one of these best buys followers to be set for the upcoming S/S 2012 trends!

Keep checking for new posts as they are coming very soon.

Favourite Cocosa buys

So, for the past ? hours, and I must say they were well 'spent' I have electronically rummaged through each tab that is available to browse in the Cocosa sale. I have found some great bargains and I am going to post them right now just incase you missed what I spotted!

My first find was this 'LULU GUINNESS' bag. With 74% off from its RRP price of £275 it is now only £70. It may not be for everyone but fashion's all about originality, right? I found this bag charming in an ethnic sense, a trend I always love to bring into any sort of look.

Next is shoes. I love shoes so its was a fabulous mayhem browsing through so many styles of heels, flats and boots. The Calvin Klein sandals were one of my favourite sales, perfect for summer and such a divine colour in the shade of coral. Practical and affordable at just £64.00 they are a definite must have!

Nautical was a big trend for spring/summer 2011 and I'm sure it will make its reappearance in 2012. However if you know that stripes is not something you can always pull off then I have the alternative right here. Invest in these striped wedges which are on sale price at £29.00 and be in the sailor trend with   a splash of nautical. They are fun, affordable and a definite approaching trend for this holiday season, so spend your fashion pennies on this summer investment! Oh...they come in a tangerine orange colour too!

If your looking for a more laid back style, shoes that you can throw on with your denim then these vintage style sandals may be what your looking for. £37.00 is a reasonable amount to pay for these sandals, allowing individuality to shine threw in the summer sun. Channel your inner Kate Bosworth with these tough, gladiator style steals which can be wearable for day or night.

NEXT UP... fabulous designer spring/summer dresses!!
